There are several ways to get involved with the Wabamun Watershed Management Council as we seek to maintain the health of the lake.

Become a Member

WWMC membership is free and open to all Albertans, as well as organizations operating in Alberta. Members will receive information about Wabamun Lake and its watershed and WWMC initiatives and events via email and our Lakescape newsletter. Members can also attend WWMC meetings, vote at our AGM and Special Meetings, and run for WWMC board positions. Visit our Membership page for more information and to join us.

Make a Donation

The WWMC is a CRA-registered charity. Funds donated go directly to the council’s work. With permission, all WWMC donors are acknowledged on the Donors list on this page (see below), in our Lakescape newsletter, and at times on other WWMC promotional materials. Businesses and organizations can become Corporate Partners and receive recognition based on donation levels. Please visit our Donate page for more information and to make a donation.

Volunteer

Volunteering your time and effort is greatly appreciated! You can help the WWMC gather research data, run events, or spread the word about us and our initiatives. If you are interested in volunteering, please reach out to info@wwmc.ca and we can discuss opportunities for you to help.

Board Membership

The nine voting members of the WWMC Board of Directors are elected from the General Membership, representing a cross-section of watershed users. Elections for vacant positions are held at each Annual General Meeting in October. If you are interested in becoming a member of the board, please send a message to info@wwmc.ca.
